How does the Hand clutch work on a mini pocket bike?

Im about to buy a nice X19 S2 pocket bike and i wanted to know if any of you motorcycle rider out there can explain how to work a hand clutch cause i have no idea how to get from gear to gear. OH and i am 14 years old .. don’t wanted people to think im a 25 year old buying a kid size motorcycle
